Most of the items will have the note size writen within its description, as well you need to always scroll down to the item options, the first option is always the musical selection, which states what size movement it is, scroll down a little more to find other size movements that you can purchase. One item can have as many as 4 different size movements installed in it, that is usually 18, 22, 30 and 36 notes, go to the item options and even lower to find what size movement you can get.
Q. How do I find or categorize items by movement size?
A. You best choice is to use the search field, located on every page at the upper right hand corner of the web site, just type in "22 note" or "36 note", to find boxes that fit a certain note size. We also have a "Shop By Note" page where you can go directly to the note size you want.
Q. Can I have my own music or sound recording made into a movement and have it installed in your music boxes?
A. Fortunately that is possible, special orders of 30 note movement can be made to play your own song or recordings, the cost is $750.00 for two top quality movements, you can get as many as you want after that at only $65.00 a movement, so after developing it, you are free to get as many as you want for a lot less. For corporate and major even occasions we can create 18 note movements of any quantity, these are only $5 to $15 a movement, higher quantities obviously will decrease the price per movement, the development price is $375 for the 18 note. We can install your movement in most of our music boxes.

A. Quality Music Boxes usues only the best of the best for our music boxes, we use premium brass plaques, these plaques are mirror golden and go absolutely perfectly with our music boxes. We cannot engrave on bracelets but can engrave on pretty much any other music box or jewelry box on our web site.
Q. Where do you put the plaque?A. In most cases it is put on the inside of the lid, so when you open the beautiful music or jewelry box, the music box will start to play (not all music boxes are activated by opening of the lid) and you can see the plaque right then and there inside beautifully attached, it is the most amazing thing you can add to the music or jewelry boxes, very sentimental and unique and personal and one of a kind. A lot of the times we just put the plaque alone for you to decide where to put the plaque, you can choose the place of your preference on the item, so we don't get in the way, it is perfect this way, you make the choice and make it perfect for your special person.
Q. In regards to the 36 note movements, are they "Reuge" or "Romance", and what is the difference?
A. First off, the Romance movement is exactly the same as the Reuge, it is produced side by side in Saint Croix, Switzerland by the Reuge Music Box Company. They sound, look, cost and do the same exact thing, accept one says Reuge and the other says Romance, nothing else different. The 36 note movement will either be Reuge or Romance, we don't know since it depends on the title of the song and what we have in stock. If you are buying a 36 note movement, don't hesitate to
contact us at any time for specific information!
A. You really don't, you must
email us and we will let you know if it is available. After we respond to you with an available status, choose the last option on the pull down menu always at the bottom of the tune list or just contact us (Other....Please Email Us (+$15.00). There is a fee of 15.00 for tunes chosen that are not on the pull down menu. We give you more then 375 most popular 18 note selections free of any charges and many 22, 30, 36, 50, 72 and 144 note options.
Q. When I click on the "inset" image, the picture shrinks in my browser after it is loaded and it does not look good, what can and should I do?
A. All you have to do is roll the mouse cursor over the image and in the lower right hand side of the image a button type icon will appear, hit that and you will see the full size detailed "inset" photo. Roll the mouse cursor over a few times if it initially does not appear.
Q. Are all the songs on the pull down menu available at all times?
A. Yes, that is correct, they are available 99.9% of the time, mostly all the time because we will instantly update the list if a song has been sold out. Of course, at times one song maybe sold out and you may place an order before we update the list. Very rare....

A. Quality Music Boxes.com uses mostly Swiss when possible and of course many others, like Sankyo, Yen Sheng and Rhymes. The 18 notes come in all types, the 22 is only Reuge/Romance Swiss, the 30 note is only Sankyo or Rhymes, the 36 note is only Reuge/Romance Swiss, the 50 notes are Swiss and Rhymes, depending on the songs and what you are purchasing, you can always contact us for details.
A. Those items that have a "status" option at the bottom of the page will explain when the item will be shipped. Most of our items are in stock, some of the more expensive piece we order and ship to you. Most items under 1,000.00 dollars are always in stock. Q. What is the difference in the note count, are the higher the note amounts the better?
A. We stock 18, 22, 36, 50, 72 and some 144 note boxes. The higher the notes count the better and the more expensive the music box is. An excellent quality and sounding movement is a Swiss 36 note mechanism. It is one of the first in line prestige pieces and is guaranteed to make you jump for joy, not too expensive and great sounding. You will see that a 2.36 note movement is available for those boxes that host a 36 note movement. This means that the cylinder plays two songs on one movement. All 72 note movements are 3.72, meaning they play either three (3) parts to one song or play 3 different songs on one cylinder. The 144 note movement is the most prestige and the most expensive.
